General

Peak Bank has the backing of a respected and successful bank located in Idaho, known as Idaho First Bank. With nearly 20 years of service throughout the Idaho and Central Oregon regions, Idaho First Bank recognized there was a market that is ideal for those who only want to do their banking online. Once you become a customer of Peak Bank, you will access your account through Idaho First Bank’s online banking site or mobile app. Rest assured, we are owned and operated by the same successful group of bankers that have built a strong financial organization since 2005.

Since Peak Bank is a division of Idaho First Bank, we use Idaho First Bank’s routing number 124103838.

We employ industry-standard security measures, including encryption, firewalls, and secure login protocols, to protect your information.

Yes. We currently offer incoming wire transfer services only. 

No. We currently offer consumer accounts and services only.

We offer individual or joint High Yield Savings and CD accounts for consumers aged 18 and over. 

Yes. You can add primary and contingent payable on death beneficiaries to any of your Peak Bank accounts. 

You will receive Form 1099-INT from Idaho First Bank if your account earns more than $10 in interest during the calendar year.


Application and Funding Details

You can apply for an account by clicking “Start Saving” at the top of our website and selecting the product of your choice. You can also click “Apply Now” from our High-Yield Savings or High-Yield CDs product pages to start an application for a specific product.  

If you are an existing customer of Peak Bank, simply click “Start Saving” then log in using your email address.   

No. Peak Bank does not run credit checks for Savings or Certificate of Deposit applications.

When you apply for an account with Peak Bank we use your social security number, in conjunction with other identifying information such as your date of birth, to verify your identity. Once your account is open, we will also use your social security number to report interest earnings to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Return to your saved application by clicking “Start Saving” then log in using the email address associated with your application.  

Peak Bank will email you within 2 business days of receiving your completed application. 

During the application process ,you will have the option to fund your account using Plaid or with an ACH transfer from an existing account.  Plaid is a seamless, easy way to securely transfer money from most financial institutions in the U.S. Funding may take up to 3 business days to process between the financial institutions. 

When funding with an ACH transfer, please note, the maximum amount is $5000, and your funds will be available, pending review, after five days.

Step-by-Step Guide 

Choose Plaid! Plaid is secure, fast, and smooth when starting your Peak envision savings account! Plaid is a financial software provider that uses a secure connection with most financial institutions in the U.S. to transfer money swiftly and safely between bank accounts at different financial institutions. Plaid requests the account login information you provide for your funding bank, and encrypts the financial data requested before supplying it to the application. Using Plaid ensures a smooth transfer of funds between your accounts and eliminates the possibility of entering the wrong account details.


Online and Mobile Banking

Simply click the “Login” link on our website or download the Idaho First Bank mobile app, click “Enroll now” and follow the on-screen prompts. You’ll need your account number and other personal information to complete enrollment.

Peak Bank is a division of Idaho First Bank, so you can easily access the app by searching “Idaho First Bank” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store then click "Download" or "Install."

Our app is compatible with most iOS and Android devices. We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date to ensure the best performance and security.
 

Login to online banking, click on the eStatements tile, then follow the on-screen prompts to enroll. Once enrolled, you will receive an email from Idaho First Bank when new statements are available to view. To view statements, simply login and click the eStatements tile then select the statement you wish to view or download. 

Check deposits are only supported through the mobile app. To deposit a check, login to the mobile app and click the “Deposit” tile and follow the on-screen prompts.

You can easily complete bank-to-bank transfers by linking your external transaction accounts. Once an external account is linked, click the “Transfer” tile and complete the transfer details. This transfer feature will be enabled 5 business days after your initial funding deposit has posted.

Step-by-Step Guide

Yes. Login to online banking – from the Dashboard, simply select one of your Peak Bank accounts then click the “Open an account” tile and select the product that’s right for you.
